In a market defined by digital transformation, generating and retaining business has never been more difficult.

Millennial and Gen Z consumers have entered adulthood with more education and access to information than ever before, but they report feeling overwhelmed, uncertain who to trust, and low confidence in their financial futures.

From our research with thousands of Millennial and Gen Z consumers, we found that..

  • They are highly stressed about their finances.
NextGen consumers reported anxiety as their second biggest challenge to their financial situation in 2022.

  • They are not confident in their financial knowledge.
One in three (37%) of NextGen consumers said they did not feel confident in their knowledge of personal finance.

  • They want support.
Nearly half (44%) of NextGen consumers said they do not have the financial advice and support they need.

THIS is your opportunity.

Financial education builds confidence and trust with your consumers. With this approach, you will:

  • Generate more business from people who have the money, knowledge, and confidence to work with you.

  • Generate more referrals from people who trust you.

  • Build a loyal following of people who grow with you.

Kristin has worked with over 150 organizations, performing extensive research, creating go-to-market strategies, and delivering hundreds of presentations on how to leverage education and psychology to generate growth.

The problem is that financial wellness doesn’t happen through information alone.

Consumers are experiencing information overload, and they don’t know who to trust.

Trust has decayed across all market segments and industries. For the first time in history, the U.S. Trust Index dropped below 50%, dropping 10% since just 2017 (Edelman).

Here is the key to turning financial wellness into your competitive advantage:

The C(E)X Model: Customer Empowerment Experience

  • Empathy - Understanding the consumer’s experience and addressing their relationship with money.

  • Engagement - Build relationships with your customers through trusted platforms (social media, community partners, etc.)

  • Education - Deliver personalized education to effectively reach and win over your audience with financial wellness.
